At Grafe Auction, our success is built on the dedication and expertise of our team members. Today, we're excited to introduce you to Megan Ferrie, our Director of Finance. With over 17 years of experience at Grafe Auction, Megan plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth financial operations and client satisfaction. In this Q&A, Megan shares insights into her work, what she enjoys most about Grafe Auction, and a glimpse into her life outside the office.
I love the way we all work together as a team from the start of a project all the way to the end. Each project requires each one of Grafe Auction’s employees in some capacity to help make it a successful sale for our client. It truly is a team effort. It has been fun over the years to be a part of so many unique projects that Grafe Auction takes on and finds a way to successfully complete for our clients.
I enjoy the relationships I have built with my coworkers over the years and getting to know them and their families along with some of our repeat customers over the years. I also enjoy helping our clients in the final stage of their event, getting their money to them and hearing their positive feedback when they are happy and satisfied with the success of their auction.
A typical day for me is working on completed auction events and preparing auction settlements for our clients, handling accounts receivables & a few customer phone calls throughout the day.
I am married to my high school sweetheart. And my best friend since 5th grade is now also a Grafe employee so I get to work alongside her every day.
My free time is spent chauffeuring my 3 kids, Cam, Julia and Ellie around to all their sports and activities with my husband Jason and being their biggest fans. When not at a game, we enjoy time outdoors, hiking and fishing and I especially enjoy a lazy day at home as a family with no agenda, although it doesn’t happen too often anymore.
Given I have worked at Grafe Auction for over 17 years I have witnessed a wide variety of items sold. The most unique one as of most recent I would say is the 28' "Gemini Giant" historical Route 66 fiberglass statue.
Megan's journey at Grafe Auction exemplifies the strong team spirit and commitment to client success that define our company. Her longstanding dedication, from managing auction settlements to fostering relationships with colleagues and clients, contributes significantly to our operations. Megan's ability to balance her professional responsibilities with her active family life reflects the values we cherish at Grafe Auction. We're grateful for team members like Megan who bring their unique experiences and perspectives to our work, helping us deliver exceptional service in the auction industry.
